- My name is Natasha. I began this blog to share my experiences 'teaching' at an orphanage in Tanzania in 2005 and continued to post mainly to let friends and family know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth while I was travelling! I believe that many developing countries, especially in Africa, have not been given a fair chance to move beyond the circular poverty trap they are locked into through disease, geography and history. There is no simple answer to ending poverty; it will take sustained effort from both rich and poor countries working together.
